Caryn Throop, Director

Born and raised in Oregon; worked for USFWS Refuges and BLM Burns District 1970s; taught ethnobotany, indigenous skills, and survival to college students at Malheur Field Station for several years; founding Curator and organizer for The High Desert Museum in Bend, OR for 17 years; moved to Lander WY 1994; contract employee several years for TNC Wyoming late 1990s and contract museum/botanical garden interpretive design and development; GED instructor for Central Wyoming College in Lander, Ethete, Fort Washakie, and Riverton for 10 years; retired 2010. Husband Tom, daughters Lauren and Meredy, and four grandchildren.
